A MOSFET is essentially an electrically controlled switch.
When using high power batteries such as LiPo batteries in your AEG, the electrical current going through your
trigger contacts is much higher than with regular batteries. Trigger contacts were not designed to handle this kind of
current and are likely to burn out/fail on their own. With a MOSFET, the trigger contacts are used only to send a
small current electrical signal to the MOSFET switch, where the large current draw from the motor is handled with ease internally.
More advanced MOSFETs may have additional features.

*We recommend using a fuse in line with all MOSFET units to prevent failure from gearbox malfunction*
